(Drive into the main gate of Leventhorpe school, past the main entrance into the car park to the right of the school, then drive through a second gate to the back of the school where you will find parking in front of the astro courts and find the entrance to the Sports Hall in the courtyard opposite the astros. More parking is available further down past the astro courts).

Mini Wickets Sessions
We believe enjoying cricket should not be limited only to the summer months but should be enjoyed all year round.

Mini Wickets Cricket is a programme designed for girls and boys in school years Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, to harness the love of cricket from an early age. Your child will build up their early fundamental movement patterns, and basic technical skills. They will gain confidence and develop the ability to throw, catch, bowl and strike a cricket ball whilst having lots of fun learning the basics of cricket.

Our academy is open to children of all skill levels, from beginners to children who already have an understanding of the sport. We offer a safe and inclusive space where your child can learn and grow as we improve their cricket skills. They will develop important life skills, such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline, and will also have the opportunity to make new friends and be part of a team. Join us for this exciting and enriching experience that will help your child thrive on and off the pitch.

Our sessions will include fun game-based play and activities designed on the England Cricket Boards's (ECB) iCoachCricket's guidelines, to help children love the game leaving them wanting more.

Mini Wickets sessions are coached by ECB qualified coaches and support staff. Our experienced coaches will encourage, motivate and and most of all make sure they have fun!!! This group will be led by Head Coach Romesh Paktsun and Assistant Coach Kate Ings.

Mini Wickets will run throughout the Autumn - Winter terms with ROM Sports Coaching. We are confident that when the cricket season starts again in April, that your child will be raring to step outdoors to show off their new skills, ability and confidence to play their best cricket on a cricket pitch at their local cricket club or with their families and friends all throughout the summer!

Furthermore, your child will be able to continue their development path with ROM Sports Coaching through out the years, leading onto Little Wickets (school years 3, 4, 5) & Junior Wickets (school years 6, 7, 8) to continue their cricket progression.
